5E Workshop “Functional Electronics and related Meta Roadmap”

9 June 2021, 10:00 – 12:00 CET
web-based (GoToMeeting)

The 5E project consortium invites you to a Workshop on “Functional Electronics and related Meta Roadmap”.

The workshop is directed particularly at multiplier organisations like clusters or ETPs, and at representatives of application sectors in which electronics plays a key enabling role, such as transport and mobility, energy, manufacturing, health and well-being, environment and natural resources, food and agriculture, security, consumer products.

The workshop addresses you in your capacity as users and multipliers, who collect and pass on relevant information, in particular regarding requirements for technological innovations, in your networks, clusters, ecosystems, and towards your stakeholders.

The 5E project pays special attention to products and manufacturing processes in which unconventional Nano-Electronics (NE), Flexible, Organic and Printed Electronics (FOPE) and Electronic Smart Systems (ESS) converge into “Functional Electronics”, leading to innovative solutions.

At the workshop, we will

  1. introduce the concept of Functional Electronics,
  2. present success stories from different application sectors,
  3. provide insights into future developments and priorities summarised in four Vision Papers, and
  4. present respective recommendations for their implementation from the 5E Meta Roadmap.

Dedicated interactive workshop parts will allow you to actively contribute requirements from your sectors and networks, to exchange with representatives of other sectors, and to get an understanding of how you and your members can benefit.

Participation in the workshop is free of charge, but registration is mandatory.
